Born in 1976, Naomi Droll (nee Lake) is an artist based in the Blue Mountains, NSW Australia, on Dharug and Gungungurra traditional land. Her work as a monochrome artist (using a single colour palette) stemmed from her earlier years of drawing using charcoal and as a printmaker at university. Naomi attended the College of Fine Arts (now known as the University of NSW School of Art and Design) in the mid 1990s, winning the Oxford Art Printmaking Award in 1997 and graduating with a Bachelor of Art Education (Honours) in April 1999. Naomi exhibited work throughout her years as a secondary and tertiary student, more recently in group events in 2024 and 2025, and as a finalist in 2026. She is currently enjoying her resurgence as a practicing artist after raising a family.
